Our Story

Building in Harmony
with Nature

Embarking on a lifelong passion for woodworking in 1990, Jochen Dullenkopf's journey began with a summer job at a carpentry shop in Germany. From his apprenticeship as a carpenter to his innovative approach using Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), his fascination with wood has evolved into HolzHarmonyHomes Inc.

From Germany to Nova Scotia

A Carpenter's Journey

After completing his carpentry apprenticeship in Germany, Jochen spent two decades honing his craft across Europe before discovering the breathtaking landscapes of Nova Scotia. He saw in this province what he had been searching for: a place where sustainable building and natural beauty could coexist.

In 2016, he founded HolzHarmonyHomes Inc. with a singular mission โ€” to bring European CLT craftsmanship to Atlantic Canada, making sustainable tiny homes accessible to anyone who dreams of living closer to nature.

Today, HolzHarmonyHomes has built over 35 homes across Nova Scotia, each one a testament to the belief that the best homes are built with honesty, skill, and the finest materials the forest provides.
